I am Anna Szolwinski, a sophomore at Lakota West High School in West Chester, OH. I joined the track team not knowing what to expect after six years of intense training as a competitive gymnast. However, after my first race, I knew that sprinting was going to become a very special part of me. Following my freshman season in which I went to the State Meet in two events, I realized that I want to continue running in college.
I am very competitive in everything I do, and I never quit until I reach or exceed my goals. Academics are most important to me; I maintain an above 4.0 GPA, and I am ranked in the top 5 of my class of 561 students. I am actively involved in other school activities outside of track, like Student Government and Peer Counseling. I also dance competitively for a private studio.
My goal is compete for a track team at a college or university that also values academic excellence. I will always strive for greatness, no matter the challenges.
