Personal Statement
My name is Sydney Raye Morgan, but most people call me Syd. Sports have always been a massive part of my life, especially since I started playing volleyball in the seventh grade. I am an aspiring college volleyball player. I am currently playing libero on the varsity team this year, but I feel like I am a versatile player; I have played setter, all of the hitting positions, and defensive specialist (DS). While volleyball is my passion, I play many other sports; I am the varsity volleyball captain, varsity softball captain, the varsity golf captain, and a member of the cheer squad. I want to maintain a 4.0+ GPA throughout high school and college, and so far I am on the right track! I would like to double major in Pre-Med (Pharmacy) and Spanish. I have learned many lessons from volleyball; I have learned to be confident in my skills and abilities as a player, and I have become a leader on and off the court. I am very coachable and I gladly accept directions from my coaching staff.
