My name is Annalise Yates. I am a 5'5 Libero/DS from Roswell, Georgia. I am a junior at Blessed Trinity Catholic High School, and will graduate in 2024. I have been playing volleyball for 7 years. I play on the Varsity team at Blessed Trinity. I consider myself to be a great teammate and very coachable. At the end of third grade, I tried my first volleyball camp and fell in love with the sport. Even though I have gone through playing at least 10 different sports including dance, gymnastics, horse back riding, ice skating, tennis, and lacrosse, volleyball will forever be my favorite! I absolutely love being part of a team, and getting to have a close connection with my teammates.
After my first clinic, I began my fundamental training at A5 Volleyball Club. Through middle school volleyball, I was on the 8th grade A team all 3 years. I was a starting right-side hitter for all 3 years, including the 2 years in a row that my team won the state championship. Around this time for my 12s year, I received an offer to play up on the 13-1s at Rio Volleyball Club. This proved to be one of the most important decisions I ever made, because I will soon by playing my 6th year at Rio. I have been starting Libero and 3rd server for my team for the past 4 years. I absolutely love the coaching style, and have met so many amazing teammates. On top of practices, I do 1 on 1 training with the coaches throughout the summer and the regular season, so that I can get more touches on the ball no matter where in the season we are.
Through volleyball, I have learned to always work hard no matter what, and do my best for my team. I always do my best to stand out through my positive attitude and respect for my teammates and coaches. I show my passion for the sport through my job too, as I ref volleyball games for young girls after school and on weekends. I work hard in school, and put in my best effort to achieve my goals. I know that I will make a positive impact as a student and as an athlete. I am excited to continue to explore schools throughout this season, and find the best fit for me!
