Personal Statement
My interest in playing volleyball came from my mother when I was in 6th grade, she suggested for me to try something new things like volleyball. I fell in love with the sport ever since. I first started playing as a Defensive Specialist until my coach saw potential in me being a setter for the team. I've been a setter for 3 years now. I was team Captain for my freshmen team in 2013. After my freshmen year volleyball I have been offered a spot to play with a club team, Heartland Junior VBC. We went to Show Me National Qualifier in Aprill 2014.
One thing that makes me different than other candidates is that I always have a positive attitude and energy. I come into practice everyday wanting to learn new techniques and perfect my skills. My coaches always tells me that there's never a day I come to practice with out a smile on my face. I have great sportsmenship on and off the court. Volleyball is a 24/7 thing for me, every time I get I would go into the gym and work on skills that I think needs to be most improved.
As a student I maintain a minimum of 3..00 GPA every year. I recieved the Lisa Cox award my Freshmen year for being a great athlete and a great student in standing.
