Personal Statement
I started playing volleyball in second grade, and I haven't stopped since. For me, volleyball is an escape from reality and it helps me relieve stress. I spend almost all of my free time on the court, in the gym, or watching games, and I think that commitment is what led me to starting varsity my freshman year and playing four years of club. I'm also involved in track, powerlifting, and student council. My coaches always tell me that I'm a good leader on the court and that I think fast, so they put me at libero. I love digging hard hit balls and laying out for everything. My main goal is to make my setters life easier, so they can set up our hitters. The bruises and floor burns are totally worth it! I continue to put in the time and effort every day to increase my defense skills and technique in hopes of helping my highschool team go to state and eventually playing in college!
