Personal Statement
Hi! My name is Tiffany Wentworth and I am a 5’11” setter from the class of 2015 living in Omaha, Nebraska. I have been playing volleyball since I was in the third grade and competitively in club since I was in the fourth grade. I made my first club team when I was only nine years old. I was a setter for a twelve year old team and ever since then I have aspired to playing volleyball at the collegiate level. Additionally I can also play RS, OH and even DS.
This past season I set in a 5-1 for Millard West High School and helped lead my team to a state runner-up finish in class “A” which is the largest class in Nebraska. I was then selected to the Nebraska State Volleyball All-Tournament 1st Team for class “A” as a setter. I finished the season with 1126 assists for a 10.2 average per set which ranked me 23rd in the nation on MaxPreps for junior setters.
I have also worked equally hard in the classroom as well. I am ranked 59th out of my class of 604 with a 3.92 GPA taking both Honors and AP classes. It is my desire to attend college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the court. I plan to study Health Science and I’m interested in pediatric sports medicine.
I am searching for the opportunity that will allow me to pursue an exceptional education while playing some outstanding volleyball. My goal is to continue to improve as an athlete and as a student. I am open to all possibilities which give me the opportunity to achieve my goals as a student athlete playing at the highest level while earning my degree.
