Personal Statement
When I was six years old I would tag along to my older sister’s volleyball practices and it didn’t take long for me to find my passion. Ever since then I have played volleyball year round. My passion for this sport is only equal to my desire to attend college and focus on Marketing, Advertising, and Graphic Design. I am looking for a college where I can excel at volleyball on a competitive level and continue to further my education.
As I begin my senior year this fall at Highland Park High School I am honored to have been elected Captain of the Varsity Volleyball team for the 2018 season as well as being elected into the National Honor Society and the National Art Honor Society.
If there have been any lessons learned in my 12 years of volleyball it has been determination and perseverance. Even though I love the game I had a lot to learn and many skills to improve upon. And even though I wouldn’t always make the top teams at my Clubs I would always find a team to play for and would continue to improve my skills utilizing private lessons and summer camps. I honestly believe this is why I was able to make the Highland Park High School Varsity team as a sophomore and I will continue to put myself in positions to improve my skills and to be as competitive as I possibly can be at the elite level.
