Mason Perrigo '24 Recruiting Profile

          Growing up in Vestavia Hills, coaches have always stressed the need for characteristics like determination and discipline in order to win. I have also learned that If I want to succeed, I needed to put in the work. I became interested in baseball at the very young age of five. I liked the idea that it was a sport that required just as much mental skill as it did physical. Through playing baseball, I have learned to overcome obstacles and persevere until success.

In high school, my goals will be to graduate with above a 4.0, be in the top 10% of my class, be a part of many clubs like FCA and SGA, and graduate with the highest available diploma. I am looking for a college that will challenge me both in sports and academically. Being a captain for other sports like football have really given me the leadership skills I need to be an outstanding student and athlete.  I am also very coachable, I work well with others, and I am very good at becoming acquainted with new people.
