The opportunities and obstacles before me will shape my future, however it is what I do with the opportunities, and how I overcome obstacles that will define who I become.  Like many others, I want to earn a college degree and play baseball.  That is the simple answer, but I realize there is much more.  I see college and baseball as the key to my future.  Both will test my character and force me to demonstrate who I am, and how hard I work to be successful.

I value my family for all of the support they give and the faith they have shared.  I value an education for the opportunities it will provide and the doors it will open.  I value being an athlete and a baseball player for the friendships, teamwork, and love of the game.

I imagine my collegiate experience will be an opportunity to learn who I am, continue learning to be a leader who is part of a winning team, and discover how I will make a positive impact on the world.  I will hold strong to my faith and character, while giving all I have to my education and my future baseball team.
