My name is Ryan Dilger. I am a 2024 RHP at Desert Ridge High, a 6A division school in Mesa, AZ. This will be my second season pitching on varsity. Last year I was the closer and this year I will be a starting pitcher. I have a fastball that tops at 86 mph, with command of a variety of off-speed pitches including a cutter, sinker, slider, changeup, and curve ball. My varsity pitching coach describes my pitching as “smooth mechanics with nasty off-speed stuff and an impressive demeanor on the mound." My coaches know they can count on me to get out of any situation on the field because of my consistency.
Some highlights for me last summer, I was asked to pitch for the Dingers in the Arizona Collegiate Wood Bat League. I really enjoyed the challenge pitching at this level of collegiate competition. And WOW Factor National 18u team invited me to play with them in Jupiter, FL in October and pitch in the PG National Tournament. I just made the 2024 Trosky National Uncommitted Team and am looking forward to playing with them this summer in some great tournaments.
I am very dedicated to my pitching and am currently training at Push Performance in Tempe, AZ and my goal is to reach 90mph this summer. I hope to continue pitching in college where I can continue to develop as a pitcher. I work hard on and off the field with a 3.9 GPA. I am an Eagle Scout and a dedicated member of my church and like to serve in the community when I can.
