Personal Statement
My name is Bailin Markridge, I am 6' 2", weigh 190 pounds. I signed my NLI to play baseball at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in November of 2016. I unfortunately had to take a medical redshirt my freshman year due to a stress fracture in the pelvis. (this is now completely healed) I am now scheduled to play the spring of 2017/18 season at Cuesta Community College in San Luis Obispo.
I am looking to open up my recruiting efforts once again to find a program that I can contribute to immediately in the 2019 season. I am a very hard working player both in the classroom, and on the field. I have always dreamed of playing college baseball, to become a great role model to younger players and to make my parents proud.
I have demonstrated the ability to compete at the Division 1 level and would like to make sure that I have an opportunity to continue playing at that level going forward . I am devoted to continuous improvement and training to further develop my skills. My goal is to make an immediate impact on the team I am recruited to no matter where or who that team should be.
Previous accomplishments: I receieved and invitation the Area Code Try-outs this summer in Phoenix, AZ. I am a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society, Society of Male Scholars and I have also been the starting Varsity QB since my Sophomore year. I also have volunteered with several organization in my community in an effort to give back to those less fortunate.
