Starting high school I was on the small side, 5'2" my freshman year. I was the shortest player on the basketball team. I found my passion for basketball at an early age and started playing at the local community center in first grade. I broadened my athletic skills by participating in other sports such as club football, baseball, volleyball, and cross country. I knew I had to grow as a person to further develop and improve my skills as a person and an athlete. I had to learn how to compete against bigger, stronger and faster athletes.
I started working at Safeway to pay for additional training outside of the school program. I have mentors in my life with experience playing at the levels that I strive to keep stepping up to. Their success, knowledge and advise helps me to continue to reach to the next level. For the last three years I have been grinding to continue to grow as a person and improve my skills though training. I have been competing against current college D1 players, weight training, and attending agility trainings, all of this hard work has helped me overcome roadblocks. Going into my senior year of high school I am now a 6’1” contributor. I am continuing my journey as a student athlete putting in the time and effort to continually get better as an individual and as a team player. My goal is to help my team achieve success by doing the little things that make a big difference. I strive to serve my team and my coach by being positive and learning in all circumstances and hope to play at the collegiate level!
