Personal Statement
My name is Hunter McQuade. I am 6’1”, 170lbs, a junior at Mountain View High School, graduating in 2022. I have been playing baseball since I was 7 years old from Little League to Club. I love the sport and I compete to the best of my ability, competing drives me to get better, faster, stronger. When not on the ball field I continue to hone my craft by throwing into the net, tee work and batting practice.
I am a team player, my team knows they can count on me, when one of my teammates is having a bad day, I am there to pick them back up, either by making a joke or saying something inspirational (when it hits me).
I am a morning person, I believe an early morning routine sets you up for success, this includes going to the gym before school. I love the feeling of working out, the feeling of pushing yourself to the next level and the rush when you get to the next level. Working out is my happy place, nothing gets me down when I am working out. The music, the endorphins, it’s a blast, I love it!
My parents ensured I know what it means to earn. From a small child I have not only had chores around the house but as I got older I worked in the family business. This gave me a strong work ethic which shows in my efforts in school, in the gym and on the ball field.
If given this incredible opportunity I would love to play for a school that has a solid ball program as well as good business program. This will allow me the opportunity to learn and expand upon my business knowledge, so that I can continue growing my father’s legacy.
