Silas Swartz '25 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play baseball at the collegiate level while pursuing an advanced academic degree. I have been a baseball fan since I was nine months old when I saw Torii Hunter hit a walk-off grand slam against the Cleveland Indians in 2008 and started playing ball as soon as I was old enough to join a team. Throughout my 13 years in baseball, I have demonstrated to my coaches that not only am I a team player, but I am also extremely coachable. I listen to the feedback I am given and make adjustments as needed. I am determined, hardworking, and flexible, and I do what needs to be done to ensure the success of my team. I am always looking for ways to improve and up my game, and I am currently working with a trainer and pitching coach to increase my velocity and spin rate.
