Scott Vinceri '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Scott Vinceri and my passion is playing baseball. My ultimate dream is to continue playing baseball as long as I can and someday make it to the Major Leagues. I am a hard worker who strives to be the best baseball player I can be day after day.

I have been playing the sport of baseball for over 10 years and continue to enjoy the competitive aspects of the game. As a pitcher, there is a strategic component to every pitch, analyzing the batter and making necessary adjustments.  My composure and command on the mound have contributed to my teams success; I can handle pressure situations.  I throw a fastball 4 seam and 2 seam, as well as a slider and change-up. As a freshman I was a starting 3rd baseman and pitcher.  In my sophomore year, I am on the varsity team as a pitcher and 3rd baseman. During my junior year I was a closer for my team and started at third every game while hitting 4th. 

I work equally hard in the classroom and work diligently to maintain my 4.0 GPA. My Goal is to find a college that will offer me a challenging and rewarding academic experience along with the opportunity to fulfill my dream to play baseball in college and hopefully beyond. I am interested in majoring in Kinesiology or Criminal Science and am open to different types of schools allowing me to pursue my degree while fulfilling my aspirations of playing college baseball.
