Personal Statement
My name is Trevor Abshire and I am 6'4 200 pounds and a Senior at La Quinta High School. I play at the Varsity level for my high school baseball team. I have played with a variety of travel ball teams throughout my years and I have loved every second of it. There really hasn't been any question of what my passion in life is. I've always loved every aspect of baseball and I strive for the absolute best I can be.
I am devoted to my field and my coaches daily. I will always be the last one helping with the mound after every practice, bullpen, or game. I take pride in what I do, and I have received the proper recognition from players and coaches alike. Every one of my teammates knows that I play to win and they respect and admire that.
I would like to go to a college where I can thrive academically and on the field. I love pressure and a challenge. I want to go to a college with a high level of competition in academics and athletics. I haven't singled out any school yet and I am open to any college where I can pursue my passion of being a professional athlete.
I haven't quite narrowed down a specific major but I would like to pursue a career in Physical Education or Physical Therapy.
My athletic goal for college is simple. I want to play baseball as often as I can. It has become not a hobby, or a ride to college, but a lifestyle.
