Personal Statement

Hello coaches,

My name is Havin Lim and I have just finished my junior year and will soon be a senior at College Park High School. I recently moved to Pleasant Hill, CA this past summer from Fairfax, Virginia and luckily found myself at College Park. The College Park Baseball Program was nationaly ranked #1 in the preseason rankings by Baseball America this 2015 season. We were invited go to play at the NHSI Tournament at Cary, North Carolina but we lost at the Championship game, it was a great experience and once in a life time opportunity.

Unfortunately, with 7 D1 committed seniors on the Varsity team, I played on the JV team for the regular season. We had a good season with a record of 19-5 and I led the team in hitting and received the MVP award and played 1st base. With the JV season over, I got pulled up to varsity for the DVAL Tournament (which we already won on 5/21) and for the NCS Tournament (which we won against De La Salle)

Outside of High School baseball, I will be playing for the LaMorinda 18U baseball team this summer. We will be traveling a lot and will play in 5 tournaments. I am a positive player and I seek to be better everyday. I like to work out and I am looking forward to getting a lot stronger/faster and to gain some muscle weight especially over this summer, about 20 lbs. I feel blessed to be given a chance to play baseball in my High School career and look forward to be given an opportunity to play at the next level.

With the best regards,

Havin Lim
