Joshua Savea '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Joshua Savea.  I am currently a 6’4”, 210 lbs Senior at Rio Americano High School in Sacramento, California.

I have been playing high-competitive baseball my whole life.  I currently play for the Red Sox Scout Team and the EDH Vipers.  Athletically, I am both strong and quick.  I have the arm and power of a clean-up batter but also possess the ability of quickness and agility of an outfielder.  I am mainly a 1B/RHP but can mold into an outfielder and 3B.

My goal is to play Division I baseball, and later sign for a MLB team.  I work hard both off and on the field.  I’m the player that will stay up until midnight perfecting my craft whether it be endless reps of ground balls or tee-work; I will continuously work to improve my game. 

I also have aspirations in school as well.  Knowing that baseball only goes so far; I stay on top of my studies and work hard in the classroom.   I’m looking to major in either general business or pre-physical therapy.

I also love giving back to the community.  I host clinics and umpire for my local little league, to help them aspire to have the same goals I have.  Doing this helps me become a better individual and a better ball player.

I am extremely committed to anything I do, whether it be in the classroom or on the field.  I am very coachable and will work hard to bring success to any program I am a part of.
