November 2014 Personal Statement
The biggest passion in my life is baseball. I have loved the game since I was four years old. I love the competitive spirit of the game, and the knowledge that the team has to work together to achieve victory. There is always something that I can work on to become a better baseball player, and the attempt to become better is extremely challenging and fulfilling at the same time. Baseball has taught me how to work together with people, and that we can accomplish anything when we put in the time and the effort. My academic achievements are also incredibly important to me. I currently have a 4.07 GPA and I am determined to graduate high school with a GPA of 4.0 or greater. My goal is to play baseball throughout college so that I may further my education while playing the game that I live and breath for. I am a very dedicated person and will continue to give my full effort to my team, coaches, and academics. My church and community service is also a big part of my life. I am a faithful Christian and feel that this helps keep me grounded and humble. Being a Christian has taught me the importance of having a strong work ethic, loyalty to others, and always looking to make myself a better person - on and off the field.
