Shane's ERA in winter ball is 0.83 through five games as of February 1, 2023. The Ventura Cougars are undefeated.
Shane is an honor student in his junior year at Ventura High School and a pitcher on the varsity team.
He is a student of pitching mechanics under the coaching of Tom House and Ron Wolforth of the Texas Baseball Ranch.
He pitched against Thousand Oaks High School, one of the better teams in California, on December 17, 2022 in winter ball and gave on no runs in three innings. Shane threw two complete games last season, both wins, one a shut-out.
Fastball at 80-81 MPH, slider in low seventies.
