Michael Staton '20 Recruiting Profile

My family has always called me by my middle name "Kai." I am currently 17 years old, 5 ft. 9 inches, weigh 125 pounds, and run a 6.7 in the sixty yard dash. I play for the Eustis High School Baseball Team. I started playing baseball at 4 years old. I have played second base and Short stop, but have experience at every position. In Florida we play three seasons; spring, summer, and fall. This has allowed me to advance my skills. I just finished my 25th baseball season.

I am a high level athlete and very driven. I have been training as an athlete since the age of 4, this has allowed me to develop skills and agility far above the competition. I love participating in many sports, but I currently compete and excel in Baseball, Boxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Mixed Martial Arts and Track. I spend all year, six days a week, working and training for all of these sports. I hold World, National, and State Championships in Boxing, Jiu Jitsu, and MMA. My parents encourage me to experience as many things as I like. I like to set goals and reach them as quickly as possible. I can motivate myself for all my sports and love to compete. I work hard to be an example to every person on my team and try to motivate others to play at a higher level. I have worked very hard over the years and will continue to work to achieve my goal of playing baseball for a college team.
