Austin Olander '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Austin Olander and I am a 2023 grad from Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School in Sarasota, Florida.  Growing up, my parents always made sure that academics are always important and always kept me on top of my grades.  My parents would always check and make sure I had A’s and B’s before I played any sports. I was always told that it’s Academics then Sports. In baseball, I am a Pitcher and First basemen. I also have experience in Right/Left field and Third base. While pitching, I try to mess the hitters timing up with some quick pitches, pauses, and double leg kicks. I want to always be in the hitters head. When I go up to the plate I ALWAYS have an approach and don’t try to do too much(Whether that be to hit a HR, Triple, etc).  I take pride in the game, and I don’t slack off, show people up, or talk trash during a game. Instead of all that, I let my playing ability and work ethic do the talking.
