Personal Statement

I am a tall baseball player for my age. I am extremely maneuverable and versatile on the field, allowing me to play many positions. some of these positions include first base, third base, pitcher, and outfield. I strongly believe in hustling every single play and I love a competitive ball game. I play multiple sports such as tackle football and wrestling. I understand how important it is to work on and off the field. I take pride in the work ethic I've developed, taking every opportunity i can to increase my speed, strength, and skill. My family and I believes in academics before sports, especially given my mother is a teacher. i know the importance of grades and intelligence which is why I always stay on top of my work and grades. I am looking forward to getting better as a player and a person, and looking forward to playing at a higher level.

Spiro comments: this tournament was great to play in, it was a great time to be playing with some great teams in this tournament and i feel my hitting really sparked. i went 10/11 throughout the entire tournament, and lined out once against the 3rd team in all of Wisconsin. Our team made it to the finals but we got rained out in the 3rd inning and didnt get to finish, i wish i couldve played more against this challenging team.

Spiro Comments: I really enjoyed playing up. It was a great experience to play 90 feet bases with more experienced players and face 14U pitching. It will help me a lot next year when I play 14U with my travel team. My biggest accomplishment is that I finished third in RBIs compared to kids that played at least 7 games. I beat all but two of the 14U kids in RBIs. I also had the third highest batting average in the team. I also served as a great help to the teams defense, which got us somewhat deep into the playoffs, but ended in a walkoff by Mundelien to eliminate us. Overall it was a great experience and year.

We played in two tournaments which I won 3 MPS. I lead the team in all offensive categories. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Pitching Statistics (first year pitching): IP: 35.2, GP: 22, GS: 13, W-L:3-7, H: 28, R: 64, ER: 25, BB: 54, SO: 52, ERA: 4.907, WHIP: 2.299, #P: 895, TS: 470, TB: 425, S%: 52.5, P/IP: 25.093, P/BF: 3.89, <3%: .335, LOO: 21, FPS%: .483, FPSO%: .631, FPSW%: 9.9: Spiro comments: This was my first year pitching. I joined the ACEs program at Playball USA in Mount Prospect, Illinois, (ITB in 2023) to learn pitching. Pitching got better as the season progressed and I received two MVPs in two tournaments, in the games I pitched, hitting was also good. I also pitched my teams first win for LSFBL (Jun 10, W 8-5 against Edgebrook, IP: 4.2, H: 1, BB: 5, SO: 10, ER: 0). Throughout the year our team defense was not very efficient and made pitchers work more then needed, that resulted in a lot of Runs allowed. Our team committed 198 errors in 37 games. Multiple innings the pitchers had to work to get more then 3 outs to get out of the inning. Regardless, I will need to improve my command and limit walks. I will work in the the off season to improve command and cut down on walks, increase FPS, increase FPSO%, lower, FPSW% to be able to help the team.
