Personal Statement
My goal is to play collegiate baseball at the highest level possible. To achieve this goal I will put in the work on and off the field. I am a competitive person who wants to be the best baseball player I can be. I have an athletic build, strong arm, along with a high baseball IQ. I possess a good attitude and am willing to learn from coaches and teammates to become a better player. I am wanting and willing to do anything for the betterment of myself and for the team's overall success. What makes me different from other recruits is that I wound not mind playing a different position on the infield or hitting in a different spot in the lineup at all. All I want to do is play and contribute to win and will do whatever it takes to do that.
Academics have always been important to me. Currently maintaining a 4.0+ GPA is something I am proud of. Having good grades in the classroom and maintaining eligibility keep me on the right track and on the field doing what I love. I do my homework as soon as I get it so I do not need to worry about it later on and have time to myself to either relax or go train for baseball. I treat my grades with as much respect as I do baseball.
Growing up my grandparents attended all of my sporting events. All 4 would sit on the sidelines and support me throughout play. My Grandpa Severino would keep notes on my performance and give me my stats after the game. In the past 5 years 3 of my 4 grandparents have passed away from cancer, including my Grandpa Severino. I play every game in their memory and work hard to make them proud.
