My name is Teagen Galloway and I am currently a junior who will be graduating from Pleasant Plains High School in May of 2025. I am a hard worker on both my academic pursuits as well as the athletic endeavors that I pursue. I was a competitive gymnast for over 6 years, a competitive soccer player for over 8 years, a member of my school's cross country team for 5 years (6th thru current), and a member of my school's track and field team for 5 years (6th thru current) as well. I value my membership on the teams that I am a part of and truly enjoy competing with my teammates while pushing each other to be better than we were the day before. I know running is largely an individual sport but the support of a team can make the bad days not quite as bad and the victories even better. Success only comes when we support one another which was evident when my cross country team placed the highest ever in the school history in the State Championships in November and won sectionals for the first time ever against very good competition. I want to go into the medical field after school specializing either in neurosciences, radiology, or physical therapy so that I can help people in order to make their lives better. I think a career in these fields would still allow me to be part of a team with the aim of making other peoples' lives better and richer as well as allow me the opportunity to meet people that truly need my help. In addition, a career in any of their specializations would challenge me to continue to grow while broadening my abilities to solve problems. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better and hope to meet you soon to explore how I can be an integral part of your university's learning community as well as athletic programs.
