Personal Statement
Hello – My name is Alex Martinelli and am in the Class of 2024 at North Harford High School in Pylesville, MD. I am currently 5’10” and 180 lbs. I am a right handed hitter and thrower. My primary position is catcher and my secondary position is first or third base. Baseball has been a passion in my life since joined the Forest Hill Rec travel team at 8 years old. Catching has always been my favorite position because it puts me right in the middle of the game by being able to call pitches or lining up my teammates for a relay throw but my favorite is tagging runners out as they try to score. Baseball is not the only activity I am involved in. Playing basketball, football, bowling, and gaming with my friends take up my free time when I am not playing baseball or studying for school. I also do some volunteer work like helping with the Miracle League of Harford County. At North Harford, I enjoy the technology classes along with history and math. My father is a high school baseball coach and really stressed the importance of the weight room if I want to play in college. I am lucky enough to have parents who support me by paying for private training sessions three days week during the off season. My trainer has me work on speed, agility and strength drills that have really helped me become more athletic. When it comes to college, I would like to major in Criminal Justice and/or Digital Forensics as I aspire to be in the CIA, FBI, or other law enforcement agency. I am really looking forward to my Junior year of high school as I am going back to North Harford. Respectfully submitted – Alex Martinelli
