Antonio Bennett '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Antonio Bennett. Thanks for taking a moment to read a little bit about me. In a nutshell, I play baseball because I LOVE everything about the game, not just to try and be a MLB big leaguer like most, although that would be great! I will do whatever it takes to be around and play baseball its the lens that I see life through. No matter the obstacle in front of me I can always think clearer about it and resolve it, when relating it to baseball, somehow its my secret weapon.

I have always wanted to be a catcher, ever since little league. I LOVED the feeling of having a say in every play of the game. From blocking, to pitch framing, throw downs and pitch sequencing to studying and knowing everything about the opposing team. I make it a point to study everything there is about being the best catcher I can be for my team and advancing myself. My goal since the first time pulling on that "iron mask" has been to make sure no one could ever say they out prepared or out worked me. I always play to be the most CONSISTENT, DEPENDABLE and STEADY CONTACT player in every situation. Once that "iron mask" is on the GLADIATOR comes out! I will work the hardest for the success of my team, which in turn will make me successful in every aspect of my game. Baseball is a game that requires allot of determination and dedication and requires all players to due their part for the team. I know I bring all of this to every team I play for and I know whatever my role is for my team, behind the dish, bench or anywhere else I'm needed I will bring the GLADIATOR every time!
