Drake Krawczyk '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Drake Krawczyk and I am currently a senior at Oxford High School. My goal is to go to college and get a four-year degree along with playing college baseball. This year, I am hoping for a normal school year and of course a very successful year ahead for baseball. My goal for this upcoming offseason (22-23) is to get a lot stronger and getting feedback to increase my velocity and even fine tune more specific things (pic-offs, timing plays, location, etc.). My general way of thinking is to work hard and keep practicing at something and strive to get the "1%" better every time you look to improve. The past few years has tested us in one way or another to improve everyday either it being something for sports, or even a life lesson.

For those that don't know, my high school went through a horrible tragedy. On November 30, 2021 a high school student from our school senselessly opened fire on his own peers and classmates, killing four kids and wounding seven others. This event shook all of us in the community to its core. Lots of emotions ran through everybody after everything that had happened and still hurts all of us to this day. The reason I put this in here was because nobody deserves to EVER go through this and in life, you have to battle senseless evils and persevere through tough times. In this case, I used baseball as coping through this process so baseball is a very personal thing to me and not just a "hobby" or "something to do". Baseball always will run deep personally because I strive to be a coach when I am older to spread knowledge to other kids like I once was that wanted to always play at a high level.
