From my first year of baseball in Florida I told my dad I was going to be a baseball player and he always taught that "putting in the work" is how you achieve any goal. I recall in the next years of setting the first goal to make the High School team. We would pull up to a tourney and dad would say "see all these kids, only one probably goes onto play in high school, and guess what grades are a big part of setting yourself apart "
Now college is the next goal and I haven't selected a major but I know it will be something in the sports industry and most likely tied to baseball. One of my summer league coaches works for the St. Louis Cardinals in the stats/recruitment department. He has talked to me about what he does and I find it very interesting. I feel baseball is just in my blood.
