Tanner Hosick '24 Recruiting Profile

Every year of playing baseball, I learn more and more about not only the sport, but about myself and life in general. I aspire to continue playing baseball as a college student-athlete and believe I would make a great candidate for your team.

I am extremely coachable and pay close attention to detail. I may not be as tall as other prospects, but I certainly make up for it in strength, speed, and athleticism. Any coach will tell you that I am not to be underestimated and am fiercely competitive. I make adjustments as necessary and strive to get better every day. My coaches will tell you I am a leader on and off the field. I am a great teammate and understand the importance of working together as a team. I have put in countless hours at batting cages, ball fields, and weight rooms year round. I am never content and know there is always room for improvement.  

I also understand that being a student-athlete means that academics come first. I am a member of the National Honor Society and am a strong, respectful student in the classroom. 

Outside of baseball, I am also a state medalist in wrestling and state medalist in tennis. Being a multi-sport athlete means I compete year-round and want to be the best at everything I do. I know how to manage my time and still keep academics a priority.  I am involved in my community and church, and I take part in volunteer opportunities. I am a member of Student Council and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  I have always been able to balance school, sports, and extra-curricular activities, and I feel it is important to be a well-rounded individual. In my spare time, I enjoy wake boarding, fishing, boating, and playing ping-pong. 

I believe I have what it takes to be a student-athlete at your school. I hope to continue learning about the game and life, play at a more competitive level, and gain an additional baseball family.
