Personal Statement
My name is Nicholas Zoucha. I am 17 years old and currently in my Junior year at Scotus Central Catholic. I play baseball for Columbus High School through a COOP with our school and CHS. I have played club baseball since I was 8. I enjoy playing several sports, but baseball is my passion and has been my focus for the past 2 years.
My education is important to me, and I work hard to be at the top of my class. I plan to continue this work ethic into college by always putting my studies as a top priority along with my team. I have been told by many teachers and coaches that I have great leadership skills. I have been able to grow these skills through my involvement in organizations such as VP of National Honor Society, Youth Leadership Columbus, and as part of the executive board for the Campus Committee for Habitat for Humanity. I was also recently excepted to Nebraska Boys State. I also received Academic All Conference this this last season.
I have also worked hard as an athlete to get to where I am today. I am not afraid to put in the work or take criticism to improve as a player. As I continue in my baseball career, I strive to be the best player and teammate I can be. I am committed to taking my skills and talents to the next level and am excited to grow as a person and player.
