My name is Sean Hood and I’m a Junior at North Star High School in Lincoln, NE. I’ve been playing baseball since I was 8 years old and am looking at colleges to continue my academic and athletic careers. I’m a right handed catcher and left handed batter. My primary position is catcher but I can also play 1st base and middle-infield. My grade point average is currently a 3.0 but I’m a hard working student and currently have a 96% GPA, first quarter of my Junior year.
As a sophomore I played on North Star’s JV baseball team as a starting catcher. I continued to play through the summer on North Star’s Legion team sponsored by Stonebrook Exteriors. In July, 2022, I tried out for and was selected to play for the Prospects, based out of Omaha Nebraska, as a catcher. We will be playing in 6 tournaments across Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska this fall. These tournaments include: KC Bullets (KS), Midwest Select Championships (IA), Midwest Premier Baseball Fall Classic (KC), 17u WWBA Midwest Invite (KC), Nebraska Prospects Fall Classic (NE) and the Wood Bat Exposure (IA).
I work hard to be the best athlete and teammate I can be. Outside of team practices I take hitting lessons, attend Kratos training, and schedule extra time to work on improving my skills and building strength to be the best player I can be.
