Nicholas Monterosa '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Nicholas Monterosa, I’m a left handed pitcher who also plays left and right field and is truly dedicated to the sport of baseball.  I’ve been playing travel baseball since 2nd grade and enjoy the competitive nature of the game as well as the team environment. I have always dreamt of playing at the collegiate level. Knowing how competitive a sport it is and the difficulty of making a collegiate team I have been dedicating my entire off season with a strength and conditioning coach as well as taking pitching and hitting lessons to acquire the additional tools and resources to give me that competitive edge over my peers.

I also understand the importance of academics at the collegiate level and currently have a 3.7 GPA.  Currently my collegiate academic interests are in business and economics. When it comes to choosing a geographical location of the college, I’m open to traveling anywhere. What’s more important to me than a school’s location is finding the right environment from a team and academic perspective. 

I’m open to playing baseball at any competitive level in college. Some of my attributes I would bring to your team is dedication with a team first mentality, while demonstrating my leadership skills on and off the field along with the desire to constantly be learning and improving at my position.  My baseball goals are to continue to play the sport I love at a high competitive level while making a positive impact on my team, demonstrated with leading by example.
