Hello, my name is Troy Ford and I am a 6ft, 170lbs defensive midfielder for the James Caldwell High School varsity Lacrosse team. I am a 16-year-old junior and I started to play lacrosse in the 8th grade but due to Covid, I did not really get to play much. When freshmen year came and I got to play more lacrosse my interest in the sport started to grow. My sophomore year is when things really started to change. I had a lot of fun playing lacrosse and I grew to love the sport. After freshman year is when I knew that I wanted to play lacrosse at the next level. If I were to evaluate myself would say that my assets are my agility, strength, and speed, as well as being coachable. I am a great listener, not only do I listen to my coaches on how to improve but I also listen to my teammates, family, and friends, because I know I can learn something from them because they can see what I can't. I am constantly in the weight room from summer through march because not only do I have to prepare for football in the fall but I want to be the best I can be for lacrosse in the spring. My main focus is to make it to the next level in lacrosse and I am doing everything I can to make sure I get there.
I am very interested in exercise science so I would love to study that in college. I love being in the gym environment and I am interested in how the body operates it excites me to learn about it. Though I am very passionate about lacrosse I am also very passionate about exercise science because I want it to be my future. My goal is to not only to be the best lacrosse player I can be on the field but be the best student I can be off the field. Lacrosse and the gym are my two favorite things and I will try my best to make it to the next level not only in lacrosse but in my academics as well because that is my dream and I will make it my reality.
