I am a firm believer that the amount of work that you put forth now directly impacts the results you get later. Sports has always been an important part of my life. Playing youth soccer, baseball and basketball was a forum for me to make friends and get exercise. As I grew up I became more dedicated and sports became a vital part of my life. My 8th grade year I was selected to play 5A High School JV Baseball and Basketball. My Freshmen year I started 5A High School Varsity Basketball. Due to Covid 19 my Freshman year Baseball was cancelled before it could start. However, I have been blessed to play on multiple travel teams for both baseball and basketball. Therefore, I have been able to grow as an athlete during the 2020 season. In my Sophomore year, I was one of two starting Varsity starting pitchers and when not on the mound I was the starting 1st baseman. Additionally, I was a starting Varsity Basketball player winning teammate of the year. In my Junior year I was selected as team Captain for my High School Basketball team as well as a starting Varsity player. A couple things that sports have taught me are: how to be a excellent teammate, importance of maintaining good academic grades, time management skills, and a solid work ethic. All of these traits will stay with me for the rest of my life impacting both my personal and professional life. Lastly, I am very thankful for every Coach that has ever pushed me to become a better athlete and young adult.
