Personal Statement
Being born to a college baseball player and high school coach. I have been engulfed in the sport my whole life. My love for the game was molded early in life and often couldn't wait for the next season to start. Oddly, I have felt I have always been on Varsity Baseball teams my entire life, because I was at every practice and game, but it wasn't until my 8th grade year until I could actually show my real love for the game. It's not easy being the coaches kid, but expectations have always made me work harder to make sure my skill was no mistake.
As I begin my outlook on my education and baseball future I am certain my athletic career in Football, Basketball, and Baseball will only help to sustain my academic success. Without one their is no other. My mother, who has been a twenty year Special Education teacher has always kept me grounded regarding my education. My classroom performance has always been connected to my athletic participation. As I entered High School my focus became more intense and I began to appreciate the value of the my classes. I look forward to more classes that pertain to my interests and moving towards my secondary education.
I have many goals I hope to attain as I begin my Junior year. My team and personal athletic goals will always be part of my drive but my classroom goals will decide ultimately where these goals take me. I would like to attend school outside of New York and explore all options for my collegiate baseball career. My academic interests vary from business to graphic design. As schools begin to display interest in my skills I will seek to narrow my academic goals towards what I and my family see as the best situation for success.
I believe my experiences in baseball and in the real world as a young man can benefit many schools and programs. I am excited to find that school to continue my next chapter in baseball and academics.
