My name is Dylan Trochez and I am a 14-year-old freshman at IONA Preparatory High school in New Rochelle, New York. As a 6’0” Dominican Hispanic student-athlete with a passion for baseball that started at the age of 4, I am writing to express my deep interest in playing for your college baseball team.
Baseball has always been more than a sport to me it’s shaped my character and fueled my growth as a person. There’s something about the feel of a bat and glove that drives me to be better every day. I am a versatile player with experience in the outfield, first base, and second base. Offensively, I am a dedicated and competitive athlete who is always striving to sharpen my skills and deliver for my team.
Beyond my athletic abilities, I bring maturity, ambition, and a strong baseball IQ to the game. I pride myself on being a team player, someone who supports and inspires those around me. While balancing the challenges of being a type 1 diabetic, I’ve learned the importance of discipline and resilience, which have only strengthened my commitment to baseball and my future as a collegiate athlete and future MLB player.
I am thrilled to share that I will be showcasing my skills on January 25th at Richmond University. I would be honored if you could attend or are able to look out for my abilities. I look forward for any opportunity to demonstrate my dedication and abilities. Looking forward to hearing from you in the future.
