When ever I step on a baseball field, I feel a sense of purpose, belonging, and confidence that is unique to all other parts of my life. When I’m on the diamond, I feel at home. I have many goals for college but playing at the collegiate is one of my top goals. I want to continue to play competitive baseball and grow as an athlete and as a person. While playing college baseball, I would like to pursue a degree in biology in order to work towards my goal of becoming a physical therapist. I want to become a physical therapist to remain a part of the sport I love after college, and to help athletes recover from injuries and continue to pursue their athletic goals. I have a lot of abilities, talents and good character traits that coaches would be looking for. As an athlete, I work hard on and off the field to build my skills and become a better player. As a baseball player, I am able to play multiple positions well, including pitcher, second base, and left field. Playing all of these different positions forces me to put in extra hours and reps after practice. As a baseball player, I’ve committed myself to several different teams including my high school varsity team, The Wheatley Wildcats, as well as my travel team, The Diamond Spikes. During the off season, I work with different baseball coaches and play for different travel baseball teams in order to keep my skills sharp. As a team member, even when I’m hurt or not playing, I still support my teammates and stay positive even when times get tough.
