My name is John Bennett. I am 6 foot tall and weigh 200 pounds. I hit with power, while maintaining a good average and on base percentage. I am very solid defensively and run a 7.6 in the sixty yard dash. I play for East Rutherford High School, where I started at third base as a sophomore. My team went 15-10 last season, making it to the 3rd round of playoffs. East Rutherford has a rich baseball tradition having won 5 state championships over the past 11 seasons. I have also played two summer and fall seasons with the Diamond Devils out of Mt. Pleasant SC. I am currently playing with the Mountain Expos out of Hendersonville NC.
What I can offer to any team is a player who is willing to give everything he has, both on and off the field. I work very hard in school, the weight room, and the baseball field. I have always dreamed of being able to play college baseball, as well as to be a role model to other people.
I want to play as soon as possible at a collegiate level, but I also want to compete at a high level of competition. I am devoted to be the best that I can be, both on and off the field. My goal is to impact my team in a positive way, as well as to help my team win championships.
