Will McDaniel '14 Recruiting Profile

I want to play college baseball and have planned to do so for as long as I can remember. I am a team player, have excellent  fundamental skills and good instincts; I'm a versatile player, able to play several positions well. I am right-handed. I play third base and pitch right handed. I am an excellent hitter. I consider batting and hitting to be one of my strongest talents. I hit the ball hard and I have extremely fast hands. I hit 12 out of the park home runs as a junior. I am a well-rounded student and athlete. I have been playing baseball since I was 5 years old and have played on many traveling teams over the years. I have been raised on a cattle ranch in rural Oklahoma and have learned the value of hard work. I have balanced school, working on the ranch, and sports all through high school. I made the Oklahoma H.S. Baseball Midwestern All Stars Team last summer as a Junior in high school. I was one of only a few players picked at the Tulsa area Midwestern All-Stars Tryouts Summer 2013. I was captain of my high school football team, captain of my high school baseball team, and a member of my h.s. power lifting team. I have been active in FFA and FCA throughout high school. I tied for 1st place in the Oklahoma State Individual FFA Shooting Sports Competition. Throughout high school, while playing sports full-time; I have also raised and shown livestock (cattle) throughout high school. I am well rounded and very motivated to succeed. I am looking forward to playing college baseball and pursuing my baseball career and dreams.
