In my opinion, the most important part of going to college is the academics. My main goal in attending college is to get a degree that will serve me for the rest of my life, however baseball is also a big part of my decision. I would give my college team a solid bat early in the lineup with a high OPB, because it is very hard to strike me out. Furthermore, defensively I offer a solid glove in the middle of the infield with good hands who can make the play in the gap. I am looking for a college that can offer me good playing time and a sound engineering degree. I want to play collegiate baseball because I have loved this game my entire life. In fact, my first memory is playing backyard baseball with my parents. My baseball career has changed the way I live my life and the way I look at life. When I didn't make the 6th grade middle school team, I wanted to quit. The mentors in my life convinced me to go out for the team the next year because they saw how much I enjoyed the game. This taught me the lesson that if you truly love something and want to pursue it, you must stop at nothing. This was just the beginning of all the incredible lessons baseball has taught me that I have applied to my life.
Many of the characteristics that I have gained through baseball gives me success in many aspects in my life. I have learned that I can’t just be motivated by myself. I have realized that I need to be playing for the people who have believed in me, those who can’t play the game due to a sickness or injury, and most importantly, Christ. I use this motivation in my school work, at my job, and following Jesus. I have learned a lot of lessons through this game and believe I would be successful at the next level.Statistic | 2016 Nashville Base |
