I come from a family of current and former professional baseball players. I feel the game is in my blood. My father, who is my select/travel team coach, has been my main trainer and coach since I can remember. At home he is 'dad', but at his facility or on the field, he is 'coach'. He has a unique ability to teach what he knows, and after a 17 year professional baseball career, he knows a lot. He is my mentor, and the person I respect and admire so much, because he brings a passion to the people he coaches and teaches, and has instilled that passion in me. I am thankful I have acquired his qualities as a great teammate, friend, and athlete.
My goal is to make the high school varsity team this year, and represent my team through hard work throughout the season. I will carry that hard work into the summer, when I play for my team, Los Tigres, before reporting to the USA Baseball 16U Developmental team. I aspire to play college baseball, and am working hard to prepare for the collegiate level. I want to continue the tradition of my father's side of the family, and follow in their footsteps as a great baseball player.
As important as baseball is to me, so is my academics, and I work hard to maintain my grades, so I am able to attend a great college. My interests are the sciences and business. Looking forward to college, I hope to study business, and possibly sports management.
