Haden Simmons '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Haden Simmons, I am 5' 10'' and weigh 185 pounds. I have been playing baseball since I was four years old and love competing on the diamond. My coaches of schools and travel teams have confidence that I can throw ALOT  of strikes and all of the coaches that I have ever played for has had the upmost confidence in me to put me in the game at any point. I am currently a junior in High School and played Varsity baseball both my Freshman and Sophomore years as a starting pitcher and third baseman. I have developed the mental aspect of the game that I believe places me in the elite among high school pitchers and third basemen. I have always been a strong bat in the lineup. When not on the mound in high School diamond, I can be found at third base and if needed, behind the plate as catcher. I believe that by playing various positions, I have become more of a team player. For instance, my experience as a catcher has made me a significantly better base runner. In my off season this year I have concentrated on getting faster by going to a speed and agility class two days a week from September through December. Not only am I an extremely motivated baseball player, I am also very motivated in the classroom. As a High School Junior, I am currently taking College Chemistry along with my other required High School classes. Ultimately, I would prefer to play at the Division I level but I do understand that there is excellent baseball to be played in all divisions of the NCAA. I would prefer to play for a college that will allow me to play in game situations where I can continue to grow under experienced coaches while playing at a high level of competitive baseball.
