Peyton Thompson '26 Recruiting Profile

I began playing baseball at the age of 3, and it has been my passion ever since. I’ve always had a team-first mentality; putting my teammates first and doing what's best for the team’s success has always been my approach. I have to say, I dislike losing even more than I enjoy winning.

Throughout my baseball journey, I've always considered myself a contact hitter, focused on putting the ball in play. Recently, though, I've added some power to both my arm and my bat. I can really drive the ball from gap to gap, and I'm not shy about utilizing my aggressive base running. I attribute this newfound power to all the hard work I've dedicated during the off-season and throughout the season.

My strong baseball IQ is a significant advantage. It enhances my performance on the field because I can anticipate plays and know where to position myself before events unfold. Additionally, I’m able to support my teammates during critical moments.
