Personal Statement
My love for the game of baseball first took root, in large part, because of my Dad’s love for the game, which rubbed off on me.
When I moved to Houston from Boston in 4th grade, my passion for the game really grew. I also faced my greatest obstacle when I played up an age group when I was 11 and really struggled. The following summer I had to completely reinvent both my pitching and my hitting mechanics. This taught me about the amount of hard work and dedication it takes to be successful at baseball.
Playing multiple sports, baseball and basketball, while attending one of the most strenuous academic high schools in the country has taught me skills such as time management and teamwork, which are vital for all successful collegiate athletes.
