As a kid, I loved ALL sports! My Mom and Dad let me try every single one….hockey, soccer, golf, football, lacrosse, tennis, and even rugby. My parents would tell you that I’m an all-around athlete, that I could’ve excelled in any of the above sports but I found my true passion in baseball. I’m somewhat of a utility player. I’ve pitched, played both first and third bases, and even a little outfield but catching is my strength. What I love about catching is reading the field, motivating my pitchers, throwing down and picking off a runner before they can steal a base on me, framing balls, blocking, and most importantly, helping my team win. I play well with others and always try to inspire and motivate my team. I currently a starter for my for my high school varsity baseball team, floating from JV and Varsity my sophomore year, and exclusively on Varsity my Junior and Senior years, lettering all three years. This year, I’m playing first base and catcher, primarily. I‘m not afraid to work hard and will always give my coach and team everything I’ve got, whether it’s in practice or a game. I believe that the relationships between a coach, a pitcher, and a catcher is pivotal. Most recently, our high school baseball team achieved a Perfect Game against an area ranked team. I’m proud to say that I caught that game and will forever be a part of helping achieve the first Perfect Game in McKinney Boyd Bronco Baseball history! I am also proud to say that I've hit two homeruns this season and hope to hit more. I would love to continue playing ball at the collegiate level and promise to ”bring it” in every game!
