Personal Statement
- FAILURE does not define who I am; failure is an opportunity to learn, grow, reflect, and come back STRONGER! I know that the team is greater than I am by myself and I also believe that a cohesive team that plays as a UNIT is focused on their goals and should NOT BE under estimated.
My desire is to compete against Top-tier NCAA Competition at a university that is renowned for my choice of major as well as school pride and traditions. Ultimately, I am striving to be part of an institution of higher learning where I can earn a top shelf education on which to further myself in life after baseball (whenever that may be) as well as a fraternal bond and network to help my fellow alumni as we journey through life.
Accompanying my education, another major goal is to be an integral part of a baseball program that will compete for a College World Series Title in Omaha, thus providing a solid foundation for my future goal to play baseball at the Major League level.
My dedication stretches from the classroom, through the campus, and onto the field. I know that a strong team does not come from talent alone. Hard work, dedication, preparation, and cohesive teamwork make the difference no matter what challenge we are facing; whether it is on the baseball field or in life. I will be an ambassador of my school and baseball program on AND off the classroom and baseball field.
My passion for baseball began when I was 2 years old, and it has only gotten stronger as I have grown. I know what it is like to face adversity and setbacks, and I know you have to stay focused to overcome those obstacles placed in your path. I was invited to be part of a Premier travel team prior to their tryouts when I was 14 and I have not looked back. I attribute my success to my work ethic, positive attitude, and support system. Furthermore, I firmly believe that our contributions on and off the field shape and develop our culture and attitude which are imperative to our success.
My promise to my coaches...I will be an ambassador AND a leader for whichever program I am a part of (both on and off the baseball field). I will not be outworked. I am driven. I am ready to go to work; LET'S GO!
