When asked why I wanna play college baseball for the longest time it was because I loved the game and my whole life has revolved around it since I was six, but recently I have realized there is a bigger reason I want to keep playing. In February of 2020 I tore my UCL and the doc told me it looked like I wouldn't have a senior season. When he told me this I sat there saying to myself there's no way after all these years of ball it ends like this. So we went and got a second look from a different doctor and he explained to me that was a newer surgery and it would have me ready to hit the field by January and without a second thought I knew that's what I wanted to do. After having the surgery I knew the recovery wasn't gonna be easy, but if I just did what the doctor said I could continue to play the game my life revolves around. After going through the surgery and the rehab I knew that I wanted to study to become a physical therapist to help prevent kids from ending up in the same situation I was in. So when asked why I wanna go to college and play baseball I say the reason is that I want to show that even if life is at its worst and they say there's no chance, if you put in the time and the work and truly want something you can get it.
