Personal Statement

Growing up, I played other sports but none resonated with me like baseball. Although conditions are improving, the sport of baseball did not have significant community support or participation in my hometown. Which is why I umpire younger age group games when there is a need. I believe the state of baseball in my hometown increased my love of the game simply for the fun of it since less participation translated to few winning seasons growing up. Through that disappointment, I honed my mental toughness and learned to challenge myself to improve so I could support the team better.

I know other players may have the same physical skillset as me, but what sets me apart is my coachability, work-ethic, and motivation for improvement. I put the time and work in to improve my conditioning and skills during the off season. I am a quiet leader who leads by example while also encouraging my teammates and believe I can have a positive impact on any program I join.

I want to attend a college where I can excel in the classroom and on the baseball field. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
