I am grateful for cheerleading. My earlier school years were not the easiest for me. I struggled in school and had a difficult time staying focused. In 4th grade, I began competitive cheerleading and my life was forever changed. Cheerleading turned out to be the outlet I needed to redirect my energy and focus to become a conscientious student and build my overall confidence and self-esteem. Through competitive cheerleading, I have learned that I am strong both mentally and physically. I am able to take constructive feedback and criticism and apply it to become a better athlete and person.
I am a versatile athlete that has experience with multiple positions on the mat. My skillset includes level 5 standing and running tumbling, elite level jump sequences, including jumps into standing tumbling, primary stunt position as a main base, experience as a flyer, and ability to learn choreography quickly and accurately. I am extremely coachable and am always willing to take on new challenges.
Over the past several years as a student athlete, I have learned the importance of mental and physical preparation. My work ethic has put me in a position to be successful in academics and athletics. This commitment will foster my success as a student athlete in college.
